Backyard Bugs

Backyard Bugs is a show which focuses on the world of mini beasts. Three groups of bugs are investigated during the show - Myriapods, Insects and Arachnids.

We explore their defining features and amazing abilities, where they live and the role of bugs in the environment. The show is totally interactive and allows children to hold and touch many different bugs in a safe and exciting way. So get ready for a lot of laughing and screaming!

Pre K
The show provides a wonderful introduction to the world of bugs. Children will have the opportunity to hold and touch many different bugs. Costumes are used to reinforce key points and we have fun transforming into an ant colony.

Numbers: 40 children maximum

Schools (K-2)
The show is designed to meet the learning outcomes for HSIE and Science & Technology in the NSW Curriculum. Teacher notes are provided with each show.

Vacation Care & OOSH
The show emphasis is on FUN - Lots of interesting and funny facts, along with personal interaction with a variety of bugs.

Birthday Parties
The ultimate party for children aged 3-8 years. Each party involves personal interaction with live bugs, a bug game and a bug craft item to take home.

Duration: 1.5 hour
Costs: $200 per show (inc GST)
Numbers: 20 children maximum

Community Events
We provide a 20 minute bug show and interactive bug display to educate and amaze all ages. Community members can touch and hold many of these animals.

Duration: 1- 3 hours
Costs: $350 (inc GST)
